This workshop is aimed at both beginners and those with previous experience of glass fusing.  The day will build a set of creative skills to bring texture into your pieces of work.  Working with a variety of forms of glass (frits, powders, confetti, stringers and more) you will bring texture to your piece in a number of different ways:

- building texture onto the surface of your work

- how to put texture into the underside of your work

- how to create bubbles within your work in specific shapes

- creating your own cornichons which you will then be able to use decorate your surfaces.

- firing pieces at different temperatures to see how temperature affects the surface of the glass.

- working with crushed glass

You will make a collection of pieces as you work through the different techniques and then finish by making a larger piece to which you can apply a selection of the knowledge that you have learned.

Course fee is fully inclusive of all materials, use of tools, kiln firings, lunch and refreshments.

Lunch will be a selection of bread, cheese, pate, salad, fruit and more.

Unlimited tea and coffee is provided all day including decaf.

Children from aged 12 can attend the course but must be accompanied by a full paying adult.
