On Monday 11th April I appeared on the Tea for Two show on Pheonix Radio between 2pm and 4pm.  Geoff was the presenter and asked me lots of questions about my glass activities.

I had a stand in April 2011 and am back with an even bigger range of work in 2012.  This year I will pay for lighting (a big lesson was learned last year!) and show off my work at its best.   So come along to the British Craft Trade Fair 2012 and see me at stand 328 in the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate from 15thto 17th April.

See April/May issues of Craft & Design Magazine for a preview of my work on p52 and a quarter page in Crafts magazine on p32.

To celebrate Craft & Design Month I ran fused glass taster and open studio sessions.  Students new to glass fusing had the opportunity to “play” with glass and make a number of sample pieces.  Pictures of the work produced are available here.   As the taster sessions were so successful I will now be running these on a regular basis.  Check the courses page for more details.

On Wednesday 11th May the Halifax Courier published a full page feature about me, my glass work and my glass courses.  They showed lots of great pictures of my work & Diane Crabtree gave me a great write –up.  Click here to view the full article.

From May I have started listing all my courses on www.wherecanwego.com

November 2010 saw the start of my page on the newly launched Made By Hands of Britain.  I now have work available for sale here as well.

From June I have started listing all my courses on www.courseforme.co.uk

I exhibited at Art in the Pen in both 2010 and 2011.  A brilliant alternative use of the cattle market with each exhibitor being allocated a cattle pen to display their work.  I hope to be back again in 2012.

5th July 2011 was the 1st Birthday of Creative Calderdale.  A great evening with lots of creative people.  I had a stall showing my work with photos from my courses and spoke to loads of people about glass techniques - a fab evening!

Calderdale Cultures Day - this was the grand finale of the Halifax Festival on Sunday 17th July 2011.  I had a stand displaying my work and a picture board of my students and their work.  It was a cold, wet day but lots of people learnt the art of cutting glass including lots of very chuffed children!

· What a great event! Gibson Mill Autumn Craft Fair, October 2011 at Hardcastle Crags, Hebden Bridge.  I love Gibson Mill with it’s great cafe at the end of a lovely walk along the river so to be part of the Autumn Craft Fair was irresistible!  All the exhibitors are guaranteed designer-makers - I heard that the organiser actually went and visited some of the exhibitors to ensure that they really did make their own work, before she let them exhibit!

· Handmade at Ilkley These are lovely fairs that take place in Ilkley in Riddings Hall with a great range of exhibitors and a lovely cafe.  I was at the October fair in 2011 and hope to be doing some more of these in 2012.

· The Living North Essence of Christmas at Harewood House over the weekend of 25th to 27th November 2011 was a big event with loads of different things to look at, buy, eat and try.  Santa was there in his igloo for the children to visit and there was even an arts and craft tent which my two boys really enjoyed.  Thank you to all those people who had seen me featured in the Living North  magazine and came along to say hello!

· The Cambridge Glass Fair on Sunday 26th February 2012 is a new event for me and I am thrilled to have had my application for a stand accepted.  I am currently working on some new A piece of sky and A piece of water glass pictures to show at this event.  I will also be displaying my confetti flower pictures and my Heart of Glass pictures.
